Richard III

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre
Stratford-Upon-Avon, UK

Centered around the monolithic structure of the cenotaph, we worked closely with Lighting Designer Matt Daw and Designer Stephen Brimson Lewis to create textural, organic, ultra-realistic projection that initially was indistinguishable from lighting [a task we achieved so successfully most reviewers attributed it to lighting] over the course of the play this became more abstract, accentuating the growing tensions onstage, showing accelerated and disjointed passing of time and explosions of emmotion in visual form; culminating in an eerie apparition of the deceased Henry and documenting Ricahrds final descent into maddness.

Striking performances lend power to this bloody, melodramatic conclusion to the RSC’s civil war play cycle.
